Letter from Henry Flynt to John White, 1719/20 February 10.

One folio-sized leaf containing a one-page handwritten letter from Tutor Henry Flynt to Harvard College Treasurer John White requesting he send extracts of certain wills containing bequests to Harvard and related legacy and donation information. Flynt wrote the letter as part of a Committee to "prepare a List of the severall Donations that have bin made to the College, and of the Uses for which they bin given" (College Book IV, page 65).

Samuel Mather (1677-1746) was a member of a prominent Connecticut family. He was born in Branford, Connecticut in 1677; his parents were the Reverend Samuel and Hannah (Treat) Mather.
